A Family Legacy

Sunday dinner is a regular thing.

Join us.

It all started when our parents immigrated here from Vietnam in 1975. Pregnant with their first child, they landed at Camp Pendleton after months of being held in a relocation camp in Guam. After giving birth to Rosanna, they moved north to Sacramento, where a high school friend was living and where there was a sponsor family waiting to help them navigate their new life.

For over 30 years, we’ve had family meals together at our home near Sacramento, CA. We grew up eating home-cooked meals and rarely dined out, since that meant a table for ten on a middle class budget. As we grew older, we realized the untouched horizons of food and that we wanted to try it all. Along the way, we’re learning more about our parents’ journey here.
